Diversity of Australia's carers
Carers come from all walks of life
Like our population, carers come from a variety of backgrounds. They come from a diverse range of socio-economic backgrounds and become carers at various stages in their lifetime. They can be old or young, working or not working, born in Australia or overseas, English-speaking or not, from the country or the city.
One thing binds them together, they care.
The diversity of carers reflects our society and, like society, a single method of support is not effective. For this reason we work closely with carers and organisations to ensure that we understand the needs of all Australian carers and can use this knowledge to effect change and make their lives easier.
